Technology moves in giant leaps; marketing promises the world. The spectrum of options regarding photographic equipment can be at the same time extremely advantageous and quite confusing, particularly to the amateur photographer. Even when we have made our choices the views of fellow photographers who use the same equipment can be extremely useful in helping us identify how to best use what we have either by playing it to its strength or by avoiding its weak points.
