From left: the Mayor of the Municipality of Ano Syros and the top responsible person Giorgos Papitsis, the Builder Ioannis Xanthakis, Dimitris Skoulatos (Mechanical Engineer from the University of Athens), Adonis Louvaris (Topographic Engineer of Athens Technical School), our man, Andreas Iliopoulos (one of the most knowledgeable fishkeepers and a contributor of MCH, on the top Ioannis Roussos (Topographer Engineer of Athens Technical School), Sotiris Bousias (Architect of the University of Venezia) the director of the Technical Services of the Municipality of Ano Syros and last but not least Vaggelis Georgiou, Hydraulic Engineer of Athens Technical School.
Dimitris Scoulatos, Adonis Louvaris and Ioannis Rousos work under the supervision of Sotiris Bousias, for the Technical Services of the Municipality of Ano Syros. They worked a lot for the accurate construction of the buildings of the Museum. The construction procedure of the project was supervising during its entire course, by Minas Bougiouris (Mechanical engineer of the University of Patras).
There are tens of other people that have worked and they do work for this project, like Efi Katramadou (Economical School of Athens University, the manager of the Center of Professional Constitution “FEREKYDIS”), that she made all the paper work needed for this concept. Sorry for not mentioning them right now, but we shall do so in future updates.
This is not the basement of a medieval castle. It is the corridor with the aquariums as it looks now in the middle of the night. We had to visit the works at night and the electrical outlets are still not working so we had to rely on very few light bulbs. The aquariums are located on both sides of this corridor. Andreas thinks of housing morays in this tank.
One more tank (above) with three windows shot from the back and above. You can see the inside of it (something which will be invisible when the tanks become operational. Special care has been made to make sure the glasses will fit nicely in the skeleton. The water surface will be considerably higher than the glass giving the impression of an underwater view.
