Marine temperate Fish
As with all Aquatic Life categories, the profiles of the fish we list here has information about them in the wild. We hope this information will be useful in identifying fish seen when diving or in public aquaria; it will also alert hobbyists to the needs and behaviour of these fish, should they ever consider keeping them in aquaria or meet them in their natural habitats.
Marine temperate fish are not that popular in the aquarium hobby. Yet they are as beautiful and interesting as the tropicals. With notable exceptions (such as the Mediterranean moray pictured on the left) they can be successfully kept in home aquaria. If collecting care should be taken to abide by the laws governing the collection places.
