FW temperate Ecology
Ecology is defined, amongst others, as the study of ecosystems, namely the network of relations among organisms sharing the same habitat. Information about the habitat of which our animals (fish or others) are naturally a part is of paramount importance in widening our knowledge and understanding of these animals and their behaviour. Equally important is to know the range of habitats in which an animal flourishes or which it tolerates. This allows us to disregard immaterial details and focus on the salient points when we are looking after the animals in our care.
In this category we present accounts of temperate ecosystems.
